DMCA & Copyright Policy

troimarket is a marketplace for work people made themselves. Every seller confirms, each time they publish, that they own the work or have the rights to sell it. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same of everyone who sells here. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we respond promptly to claims that content on troimarket infringes a copyright.

Two ways to tell us

Report the listing. Every product, recipe and bundle page has a Report this listing link at the bottom. Pick “My work is being sold without my permission”, tell us where the original is, and leave an email if you want us to follow up. You do not need an account. We look at every report.

Send a DMCA notice. If you want the formal protection of the Act, send a written notice to the address below. A complete notice is acted on faster, because we do not have to come back to you for the missing parts.

Filing a DMCA takedown notice

A notice must include:

Where to send a notice

Notices and counter-notifications go to our copyright contact:

Email: support@troimarket.com

Please put “DMCA notice” in the subject line.

What happens next

  1. We review the notice, usually within a few business days.
  2. If it is complete and the claim is credible, the listing comes off sale. Its link says it has been removed, and it no longer appears anywhere on the marketplace.
  3. We let the seller know which listing was removed and why, and pass along the notice so they can respond.
  4. The removal counts as a strike against the seller’s account (see Repeat infringers).
  5. We reply to the address on the notice to confirm what was done.

Counter-notification

If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address with:

We forward a valid counter-notification to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the seller, we may restore the listing between 10 and 14 business days after we receive the counter-notification.

Repeat infringers

Each listing removed for infringement is a strike against the seller who published it. Sellers with repeated strikes lose their account: it is suspended, every listing of theirs comes off sale, and they cannot sign in again. We may also suspend an account after a single case where the infringement is plain, such as selling someone else’s work unchanged.

False notices

Under section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please only send a notice or a counter-notification if you are sure.
